WHAT’S THE AMPA?
The AMPA is the association of
mothers and fathers of students with an essential function: to bring families
to school. It must be a way of channeling proposals, suggestions, complaints
and any type of contributions by parents in order to improve the relationship between the educational community.
The AMPA has two basic
pillars: membership fee (4 euros/month) and parents volunteers who form the
committees and the Board and that make possible the development of the
activities of the association.
WHAT WE DO?
Management and organization of
activities
· We help to finance
recreational activities aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship between
families: La Salle festivities, end-of-course festival, celebrations…
· We organize and
finance the Christmas contest.
· We do the spring
showcase.
School discounts and presents
· Orla (Graduation
Class Photo) is delivered at the end of the P5 and the end of ESO like a
present for the members
· 1,5% discount on
books and school supplies
· La Salle party
bracelet at an special price partner
· Member Card for
families: with discounts in shops, restaurants, car repair shops, clinics and
others.
Support to the school and the
teaching team
· Investments to
improve school equipment (lockers, beds…)
· Representation of
the families of the school in organs and institutions. Contact with the
Administration for different needs of the school, meeting with de police,
Consorci d’Educació and Consell Escolar de Districte.
· Collection and
purchase of toys.
· Representation of
the Castanyera for younger students.
· Finance 50%
calendar/school memory.
· Support and
accompaniment in the race of El Corte Inglés and Correblau race.
· We act as a guide
to show our school in the Open House and Open Doors of the shool.
WARRANTY FUND
AMPA members contribute 1 euro
per month of the monthly amount we pay, to the Warranty Fund, destined to help
paying schooling in La Salle Comtal, to those children who lose a parent during
their stay at our school.
AMPINFO
Monthly newsletter, created to
inform you of the most important events of the school, lunch and dinner menus,
as well as news and activities.
GOVERNMENT ORGANS OF THE AMPA AND ORGANIZATION
General assembly of partners. It is the supreme decision making body composed of all
partners. It meets on an ordinary basis once a year.
Board.. It is the executive organ and it is elected in the
General Assembly of members.
AMPA Board Meeting. Meetings are once a
month and dates are always posted in the web.
Commission Meetings. Formed by any
parent and a member of the Board and deal with an specific topic for which they
have been created.
Class Delegates. It is one delegate
by class and have the function of picking up concerns or suggestions from the
class and transferring them on to the tutor, school direction or the AMPA. They
meet with the AMPA twice during the course.
